America not only needs a leader but also deserves one also. A true leader puts those they lead’s needs before their own. A leader stands up to the challenges set before them and faces it with dignity and determination.
Unfortunately, a large void has been created due to the incompetence of the Obama administration. As our president plays golf, our country and the world burns without direction:
-Churches are set aflame in the Middle East
-China and Russia taunt us with their fighter planes
-An American journalist is beheaded
-ISIS is forming a Caliphate in The Middle East
-Our marine is still in a Mexican prison
-Our southern border has fallen
-An American General is assassinated
-The VA remains in shambles
-The administration is plague by scandals: VA, NSA, IRS, and Benghazi
-The debt has increased 8 trillion dollars
-S&P downgrades US credit rating
-The dollar is in rapid decline
-The world looks for a new global currency
-The US workforce is at an all-time lowest since Jimmy Carter
-Government subsidies high skyrocketed
-Obamacare is a proven failure and mass waste of money
-Foreign countries are declining to in invest in US because of highest tax rates
Where are we are our next generation of American headed. There has been no forward progress made by Obama. We are set to self-destruct. God save our country!
Is it me or does anybody else feel as if our country is spiraling out of control? It seems that every week or even day, something new occurs that disappoints me with the Obama regime or the decisions made by it.
Recently, after separatists who appear to have received both the weapon to down a Malaysian passenger plane and training to use it directly from Russia, Obama failed to lead the nation or the world in the midst of this senseless act against humanity.
While the Russian leader is standing there with a smoking gun behind his back, Obama comes across as impotent as a 100 year old man after a prostatectomy. Why is Obama not fervently out there imploring our allies to levy meaningful sanctions or take a stance against Russian aggression? Instead, he’s on the campaign trail and not on Air Force One over in Europe steadfastly rallying our allies. The old Soviet era aggression that brought us to the brink of nuclear war has once again begun. Yet, he fails to understand the ongoing significance of Putin’s actions.
Even when Putin is clearly in the wrong, Obama fails to take advantage of the situation. Does Obama even know how to take advantage of the situation? As a community organizer an avid teleprompter reader, he’s obviously does not.
The problem can be summed up simply. Obama is a man not concerned about outcome. He is so entrusted in his left-wing Marist philosophies, he appears not to care if things are going horribly wrong in this country or abroad. As long as his beliefs are sound, it does not matter what the results.
Obama has singlehandedly let the red nation of Russia rise from the ashes it was sent to by President Reagan and allowed it to once again flex its world influence and power. He is a man who pulled defeat out of almost total victory. Russia was a nonentity until he came into power.
God save our country. With Obama at the helm, we’ll soon become a nonentity.
This crisis at the southern US border continues to worsen as the federal government stands idly by, watching the law of the Constitution continue to be broken at the expense of the American taxpayer. Plus, as more and more illegals cross the border, military bases are becoming refugee camps, border agents are becoming babysitters and American citizens are becoming more scared.
Worse yet, the illegals are being granted more rights by Obama’s administration than us American citizens. For example, First Amendment rights have been revoked for hospital workers at the Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. Forced by security forces known as “Brown Shirts” to remain silent about the influx of immigrants harboring highly contagious and potentially deadly diseases, they are mandated to vainly watch as these infected people are shipped, using public transportation in some instances, to their base. These “Brown Shirts”, not unlike the offshoot Hitler’s former infamous SS unit, strip workers at the base of cellphones or any other means of communication, forcing them into silence.
Also, smugglers are forcing ranchers and other American citizens to look the other way as they escort illegal immigrants through their federally taxed land. Instead of fending off this assault on our borders, Obama watches as American private property is invaded by a foreign army of illegal immigrants and her citizens are harassed by those conducting this covert action.
In addition, the federal government is shipping these immigrants all over the country, without regard to either local or state jurisdiction. What happened to our civil liberties? What happened to asking the American people for their consent? Some have attempted at times to stop this influx while others remain unprepared as busloads are illegally unloaded on their front doorsteps. Towns and hospitals are being inundated with these illegal immigrants all over the country. Plus, with a myriad of federal handouts, we, the American taxpayer, are paying for them.
As Obama worries about the borders of Iraq and Syria, our borders are under siege. Where are our rights as Americans? What is happening to our country? Before you know it, we will be a third world nation, subservient to the whim of China and Russia. Is this the legacy of the Obama administration?
The term Jumping the Shark was originally meant to describe when a television show had an episode or event whereby all shows afterwards declined in quality. This term has been expanded in the modern vernacular to take on a greater meaning. Now the term refers more broadly to any event or action whereby a person, business or other known entity begins to lose their credibility, quality or even relevance.
Last week, the Obama administration finally Jumped the Sharp. No, it did not occur with the NSA spying scandal, Benghazi scandal, Bergdahl scandal, the IRS scandal, the failed foreign policy, the rise in national debt beyond 17 trillion dollars or the vast expansion of government among other things. It actually occurred when 2 pivotal events happened over the last week.
First, when Lois Lerner’s and 7 of her colleagues’ emails were lost for a period of time that was under investigation, the jump came closer. The idea that the Obama administration thinks the American people are that stupid to believe 2 years of emails could be lost is completely absurd. The truth is that emails are stored on a server, the IRS has a multitude of backup systems, and emails are also saved by those receiving or responding to them. Thus, we should have quick and easy access to them. I would go into Lerner’s excuse, but it boggles the mind in stupidity.
Secondly, the administration finally Jumped the Shark and lost all of its remaining credibility when the patent office revoked the Redskin’s trademark name. This act was a blatant violation of personal property in the name of decency. What is scarier now is the government has set a precedent whereby they can take, however unlawful, private property at their own discretion. Now, no one’s property, business or possibly even earnings is safe from government confiscation.
The last shred of the Obama administration’s credibility has been lost. He has failed both abroad and domestically. As Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi rots in a Mexican prison, our debt rises, the Middle East burns, and Obama is on another vacation. It’s all downhill from here.
As a physician, I can attest to the recent article I’ve read in the Courier Journal about more people using the emergency rooms due to Obamacare. Unfortunately, under this new law, the newly insured Americans were supposed to be utilizing their primary care physicians instead of the emergency room. However, that has turned out certainly not to be the case.
With the number of visits to the ER soaring by the day, most ask why this rise is happening if more Americans are supposedly receiving coverage through Obama’s Affordable Care Act. The answer is actually simple. The health insurance that well over 50% people now covered by Obamacare received is Medicaid. Because there are too few primary care doctors actually accepting this insurance, these newly insured patients have no other place to go to see a physician other than the ER.
As stated in the Courier Journal article: “It’s a perfect storm here,” said Dr. Ryan Stanton of Lexington, president of the Kentucky chapter of the ER physician group. “We’ve given people an ATM card in a town with no ATMs.” In short, Obamacare provided millions with Medicaid, but there are no doctors accepting Medicaid.
The article went on to use Kentucky as an example. A workforce capacity study conducted for the state by Deloitte Consulting last year found that Kentucky needed 3,790 more doctors, including 183 more primary-care physicians, to meet pre-ACA demand. Under the law, it said the state may need to add an additional 284 primary-care physicians by 2017. Complicating matters, a quarter of Kentucky’s primary-care doctors could be ready to retire within five years, the report said.The report also said roughly 56 percent of the state’s primary-care physicians, and 22 percent of all physicians, accepted a Medicaid payment in 2011, which Deloitte said was its best estimate for figuring out how many physicians accept Medicaid.
While primary care may be difficult to find, emergency rooms cannot turn anyone away. Stanton said every patient who comes in must have a medical screening, and most doctors do more; “the vast majority … do treatment to decrease medical and legal risk.”
The problem gets even larger when you realize that Medicaid reimbursements are a fraction to that of Medicare. The physician reimburse is so low that a private practice doctor would go bankrupt if they only saw Medicaid patients. Between their overhead and malpractice, Medicaid reimbursements would not cover even the basic costs of doing business. In the end, there is no incentive for any private practice physician to accept Medicaid patients. Then, when you realize that reimbursements by the federal government for Medicaid are being cut, you will quickly realize that the number of physicians who accept it will also be dwindling.
So where does that leave those patients now? Worse off than they were before.
As a Republican, I must seriously ask who is really representing us in Congress, and what do we stand for. These simple questions mark the basis of my concern for the party. When you think about it, we couldn’t even beat a socialist community organizer with no skill, talent, ability lead or any credible ties that were not linked to unscrupulous sources.
Call me naïve, but I thought Republicans opposed Obamacare? Remember, Obamacare fundamentally represents all that the Republican Party is supposed to be against. When you break down this law, it essentially becomes a government mandate to take over a substantial part of our economy, grow the national government to outrageous proportions, destroy our economy and place our country deeper into unfathomable debt.
However, I read an article today about our so-called Republican representatives that makes me want to throw all of them out of office. This is the last straw:
To summarize a recent article by Juliet Eilperin and Robert Costa: Republican candidates have begun to retreat in recent weeks from their all-out assault on the Affordable Care Act in favor of a more piecemeal approach, suggesting they would preserve some aspects of the law while jettisoning others.
On the campaign trail, some Republicans and their outside allies have started talking about the health-care law in more nuanced terms than they have in the past. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is running ads suggesting that many of its favored candidates will tweak Obamacare rather than scrap it. One spot says Rep. Joseph J. Heck (R-Nev.) will fix the law, while another says Republican Massachusetts House contender Richard Tisei will “work in a bipartisan manner to fix healthcare the right way.” The business group’s ads in Kentucky use almost identical language, declaring in separate spots that Sen. Mitch McConnell (R) and Rep. Andy Barr (R) would work to “fix” the “Obamacare mess.”
“The sentiment toward the Affordable Care Act is still strongly negative, but people are saying, ‘Don’t throw the baby out” with the bathwater, said Glen Bolger, a partner with the GOP polling firm Public Opinion Strategies.
“The wave of the election is already within sight, and I believe we are going to do well,” said House Chief Deputy Whip Peter Roskam (R-Ill.). “I don’t think we need a replacement bill to win the election, but it is something that would be helpful in guiding our governing agenda for next year.”
As a true big “R” and little “r” Republican, I don’t want to tweak, change or switch the law. I want it off the books. It is bad for our economy, bad for our civil liberties and bad for generations of Americans to come. Any Republican who does not stand up and state publically that this law ought to be appealed, should join a different party or be voted out of office.
It’s time we took back the party and made it once again a party of the people. Remember, it is the people who make this country great- not the party or the government.
As the Obama administration continued to be bogged dogged down in a disastrous foreign policy, mounting economic debt, an anemic economy, multiple scandals and complete disarray, the administration is left with only excuses and class warfare to hide their deplorable record. Now, with the indignities to our vets coming to light, they are without answers or solutions to another American crisis.
Instead of properly addressing the problem, Obama’s crony Nancy Pelosi, house minority leader, lashes out at former president Bush as the reason for the VA scandal. Yes, it does sound like a broken record. However, the lack of responsibility the Obama administration takes have reached new and unfathomable highs.
Pelosi cackled at a recent press conference, “He (Obama) sees the ramifications of some seeds that were sown a long time ago, when you have two wars over a long period of time and many, many more, millions more veterans. And so, I know that he is upset about it.”
The Democratic leader never mentioned Bush by name, but she alluded to him early and often in the press briefing.
“Maybe when we go into war, we should be thinking about its consequences and its ramifications,” Pelosi scandalously continued. “You would think that would be a given, but maybe it wasn’t. And so, we go in a war in Afghanistan, leave Afghanistan for Iraq with unfinished business in Afghanistan. Ten years later, we have all of these additional veterans. In the past five years, two million more veterans needing benefits from the VA. That’s a huge, huge increase.”
However the facts how that only 7% of the vets are from our modern wars, costing the VA only 4% of its total budget. So, where does Pelosi get her facts?
She suggested also delusionary stated that Obamacare is the key to solving the problem. “We have the Affordable Care Act that is out there that is providing resources for more federally-qualified health clinics around the country. Maybe we should take a look at how we deal with our veterans’ needs in a way that says let’s help them closer to home, whether that’s a federally qualified health clinic or in some other institution that provides health care closer to home. [It’s] especially important for our veterans who live in rural areas.”
The thought of using Obamacare to solve the VA problem is like throwing gasoline onto a fire. The sad thing is that she believes that more government is the solution to failing governmental programs. That’s like throwing good money onto bad. The outcome will be the same.
Plus, isn’t it Obama’s job, no duty, as president to combat and solve any current problem. It does not matter when the issue started, the issue now is that it has to be solved. That is what a real president does.
Our country is in desperate need of leadership. Can we endure a few more years of Obama’s incompetent governance?
