Once dubbed the “shadow president” by the media, chief executive strategist Steve Bannon now apparently is fighting for his life in a progressively centrist Trump administration. After supporting an Obama Care II Health Care Bill, taking unilateral actions against Syria, and failing to pursue the campaign promises which brought him into office, President Trump needs his chief strategist now more than ever. However, with recent comments that the president has made against Bannon such as “I’m my own strategist, and it wasn’t like I was going to change strategies because I was facing crooked Hillary”, it makes it seems as if Bannon’s days in the swamp may be numbered.
Unfortunately, as President Trump further distances himself from Bannon, he further distances himself from the political platform that got him elect. As Ann Coulter’s article Lassie Come Home states, we the “president of America” back — not “the president of the world.”
I have thus compiled some of the best reasons President Trump needs the captain of his ship, Mr. Steve Bannon, more than ever:
2020. Remember, Trump did win the primary without Bannon, but he would have NEVER won the general election without him. Without Bannon, President Trump has little chance of winning re-election against any credible challenger.
Bannon has not been corrupted by the left nor has he ever had centrist or progressive views which could distract the president from his populist agenda.
Bannon helped set the populist agenda not only during the campaign but in the White House.
President Trump has surrounded himself and aligned with centrists and some progressives. Without Bannon’s advice, the people’s voice will never be properly heard.
Steve Bannon understands the problems in the South China Sea better than any top strategist in the administration.
Steve Bannon is a fighter, and a true junkyard dog fighter is who we need in the White House to tackle both internal and external threats.
Steve Bannon truly loves the Unites States. With so many self-hating American and apologist politicians in office, we need a man who truly believes in the motto “America first”.
Steve Bannon is in the White House not because he wants the power but because it is his duty to serve the people of the United States.
Steve Bannon is a loyal ally who will not turn on him like our turncoat speaker of the house, Paul Ryan.
The further President Trump distances himself from Steve Bannon, the further he distances himself from his populist base. In the end, if Steve Bannon goes, so does President Trump’s base and the credibility of his entire presidency.

How many times now must we look at our national flag flying at half-mast, lamenting over a recent tragedy? It almost seems as if it flies in this position permanently. With atrocities being committed against Christian, helpless civilians, and other minorities occurring by the day, it has become commonplace to turn on the news and hear of some horrible incident. With the recent bombing of Pakistani Christians, mostly woman and children, in a park after Easter mass, the bashing of the nuns’ skulls in Yemen, the priest crucified in Yemen, or just another bombing or mass shooting, we are almost becoming numb to the constant atrocities.
The United Nations Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide defines “genocide” as killing and certain acts “committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group. Isn’t this exactly what is occurring to Christians and other minorities in The Middle East? ISIS’ magazine, Dabiq, calls on the destruction of the “Crusader army”. Plus, their videos encourage the killing of priests and Christians. Their plan is to eradicate Catholicism from its birthplace in The Middle East and destroy our entire Western civilization.
I am pleased to be a member of The Knights of Columbus. As Obama had laid a deaf ear to all Christians in The Middle East, The Knights provided the State Department with a nearly 300-page report filled with compelling evidence that genocide is occurring against Christians as well as other religious minorities. These atrocities included assassinations of Church leaders, mass murders and deportations, torture, kidnapping for ransom, sexual enslavement and systematic rape of girls and women, forcible conversions to Islam, and destruction of Christian churches, monasteries, cemeteries, and artifacts.
After much work by The Knights’ CEO Carl Anderson and other members, Secretary of State, John Kerry, finally declared that ISIS (or as he foolishly says Daesh) is committing genocide against Christians, Yazidis and Shiite Muslims. However, this is only the first step. Unfortunately, this condemnation does nothing to solve the problem. He declared what most of us knew for over a year. Plus, his words ring hallow as there is no action behind them. At this point you must ask yourselves, is this the new norm? Will we just accept what is occurring and issue idle warnings to our enemies, paint a picture over our Facebook picture, hashtag the atrocities in disgust, and lower our flags to half-mast? Is appeasement and apathy the new norm? Well, it seems that is the society we live in now.
Fueled by political correctness, secularism, and an American President with un-American values, we are now reaching a critical point in humanity’s history. Will we revert back to 9th century barbarism or fight to restore our Liberty and our future generations’ safety. It is the question we must all ask ourselves right now. Those that do not answer it are letting the terrorists win. Those that are apathetic are letting the terrorists win. Don’t stand idly by. Talk to your Congressman. Support organizations like The Knights. Let your voice be heard before it’s too late!
As Donald Trump’s popularity continues to climb, one wonders why he appeals to so many Americans of diverse backgrounds. One argument from some ardent supports is that a success businessman like Trump is needed to run the country. Though it does seem superficially like a cogent argument, one speculates why the government should be in business in the first place. Can anyone name any successful business venture they manage? Amtrak, Social Security, Healthcare and the VA are but some of the most obvious programs that are woefully inadequate. Plus, if a private businessman could do better than the government, why are programs such as the ones previously mentioned not placed into the free market where businessmen can run them? (This argument was well articulated by Mike Church during his morning show on Sirius/XM). In addition, does being a successful businessman translate into being a successful president? I don’t know.
Another reason people support Trump is his ability to openly fight the PC police. Americans are tired of the same politically correct jargon spewed out from the political candidates and force fed to us by the media every day. Americans are discouraged by the stories of so many citizens that are politically and economically ruined if they find themselves at odds with the system. The draw in Trump is that he fights back. He says what he thinks, and openly attacks the bastion of PC dogma- the mainstream media. Many find it refreshing to hear someone actually speak his mind and fully flex their First Amendment Rights. They also find it refreshing to hear someone articulate issues that are seemingly ignored by the political class such as illegal immigration, crimes committed by illegal immigrants, a southern wall, the trade inequalities with China, and a balanced budget.
Donald Trump is also a political outsider. He is not part of what Senator Cruz calls the Washington Cartel. As we have seen after the last election, no matter how many Republicans we vote into office, or how many branches of government the Republicans control, no positive change is being undertaken. People feel as if their vote doesn’t count. No matter who goes into office, the same outcome will emerge: bigger government, more rules, more regulations and less economic growth. Thus, many Americans believe that the only way to fix Washington is to bring an outsider like Trump into this city.
Lastly and most importantly, I believe people are attracted to Trump because he is simply entertaining. No matter how you feel about the man, he can bring in ratings. Americans love entertainment, and thus many simply love Donald Trump as a result.
Will his appeal lead him into the White House? Time will tell.
