Unfortunately, this explains a little too much. Now I understand where he gets his foreign and domestic policy inspiration from.
A Picture Says a Thousand Words

There were 25 Republicans who betrayed their principles and voted for cloture, giving Democrats the power to implement this terrible law.
This is a disappointing loss, but the bill now goes back to the House where Republicans must hold their ground and refuse to fund Obamacare.
Here are the 25 Senate Republicans who voted to allow Harry Reid (D-NV) and the Democrats to fund Obamacare today:

There were a lot of people who worked against us in this fight, but nobody worked harder to fund Obamacare in the Senate than Mitch McConnell(R-KY), the Republican Leader.
Mitch McConnell pressured several Republicans to withdraw their names from the letter pledging to oppose Obamacare funding, he falsely accused conservatives of supporting a government shutdown, and he actively encouraged Republicans to support cloture this week so the Democrats could fund Obamacare.
If Mitch McConnell had not opposed this effort, there is no question that we would have won the vote today. He showed that he has clout in Washington. Unfortunately, he used it to hurt millions of American families.
If you haven’t seen it, I’ve posted the new anti-Obamacare commercial. It’s obviously geared to scare the younger generation. However, it is lackluster and lacks substance. So I get what they are trying to say, but after watching it I wanted to go to Burger King.
Sadly, I found the commercial lacking any true substance, and it was more comical than impactful. Thus, I fear it will not create the kind of backlash that it was intended to do. A great chance to help turn public opinion against Obamacare was definitely lost.
Remember the Harry and Louise commercial? Remember the impact it had on the Clinton health plan? The reason why is that this commercial had substance and created a gut-wrenching response when viewed. It played to everyone’s economic fears and financial uncertainty. Even now when I watch it, I take a deep breath when it’s over. Below is the clip. Watch it in comparison to the above commercial and you will se my point.
Happy Constitution Day! 220 years ago the brave pioneers who founded our country signed the Constitution–a document that would forever change the world. A document that set a checks and balance system, letting no branch of government become too powerful or tyrannical. A document that freed us from a monarchal rule. A document that has been emulated throughout the world. A document that that stands for freedom and the upholds the right of the individual.
Now in the 21st century this heartfelt view of this great document is under attack. No longer in schools do they teach the wisdom and bravery of our founding fathers. No longer is the picture of President George Washington on the wall. (I’ve been to almost 20 back to school nights for my kids and have yet to see his picture hung with reverence in a single classroom) Now that document is under attack and viewed as fluent by the liberals. No longer are the men who signed it revered and held sacred. No longer is the American heritage taught with admiration.
History has been changed. The love of our country has been taken out of schools and the media. And now they want to take God out of the Pledge. The above picture is just the latest example of how liberals want to change history and our Constitution. Read Amendment Number 2. Now remember what it supposed to say:
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed
This travesty to the truth can be found in United States History: Preparing for the Advanced Placement Examination.
As absurd as it may appear, the liberals are changing the Constitution one Amendment at a time. As Americans we must not only preserve our history but we must also cherish it. The day we forego our national heritage is the day our country ceases to by the USA. I fear that day may be closer than we all think.
Let me ask a question. Has any of the Green Energy Programs Obama gave our tax dollars to become successful? The answer is an unfortunate no. I wish they were. The only way we can win the war in the Middle East is by cutting off their oil money. Once we gain energy independence, we have effectively put a nail in the war on terror’s coffin.
However, Obama and his administration continue to naïvely give away our money to green energy firms without much potential for economic success––creating even more debt. And this is why socialist policies don’t work. If the president really wanted to make a positive investment in green energy, he would have let the free market take over.
By giving tax breaks to businesses, it would incentivize them to invest and compete against each other to produce the best green energy products. With more government incentives, more businesses would be interested, more jobs would be created and better and more ideas would materialize. That’s how things are done successfully and that’s how things are done properly in a capitalistic society. Have we not all not learned this simple fact?
Below is the latest example of Obama’s green energy failure:
Washington Times:
The Energy Department conceded Friday that the federal government will lose $42 million on a loan to a shuttered Michigan van manufacturer — part of the same program that provided a $529 million loan to an electric car maker that also has gone under. Vehicle Production Group (VPG), which made vans for the disabled, ceased operations in February and laid off 100 workers, two years after receiving a $50 million federal loan under the same clean-energy program that provided a $529 million loan to electric car maker Fisker Automotive Inc., according to the Associated Press.
VPG pad back 5 million of the $50 million federal loan this spring, and the remainder of its debt was sold at auction this week to Humvee manufacturer AM General, which paid $3 million to buy the loan. In an email to AP, an Energy Department spokesman said sale of the VPG loan was the “best possible recovery for the taxpayer.”
Fisker had received $192 million before federal officials froze the loan in 2011. The company has since laid off 75 percent of its workers, though the government has recovered only about $28 million of the money.
The losses come after federal government’s failed risked on solar panel maker Solyndra, which went under in 2011 despite receiving more than $500 million from the Energy Department.
Is it me or are we looking more ludicrous by the day? First, obama insists, despite all contradictory information, that America should start a new war in Syria. Yet, we don’t have the support of the UN, the British or most other democratic countries in the free world. The scenario is leaving us alone, without support from our allies, and appearing like a bunch of war mongers without true provocation for attack. Plus, the irony is that the treaty we signed in the UN clearly states that one sovereign country cannot attack another sovereign country without UN consent unless their welfare is imminently in jeopardy. Does anybody know how Syria is currently posing an imminent threat to America? Does anybody understand why we willfully want to be in contempt of the treaty we signed in the the UN? It seems absurd!
Secondly, Putin created a viable disarmament plan for Syria’s chemical weapons (which ironically came from Russia) that helped forge a reasonable out for our president. Now, Putin seems to to come out on top as he looks like the peace keeper while we seem like the bully on the block.
Third, Putin then went on to disparaged our country in an op-ed article in The New York Times urging President Obama to back off the threat of strikes and telling Americans they are not “exceptional”. In the end, we Americans looked liked a bunch of wayward kids being admonished by an authoritarian father.
What makes it worse is now Kerry is stating that Putin’s plan did not go far enough and Assad should begin submitting data on this disarmament immediately. Kerry then went on to caution that a U.S. military strike could happen if Assad doesn’t agree to dismantle his chemical arsenal properly. But truthfully, what does “properly” mean? Are we making up the rules as we go?
Is Kerry serious with this statement? Is he just making up excuses to attack Syria? Are we all missing some hidden agenda in the obama White House? I don’t know but it seriously makes one wonder.
Lastly, now Assad is admonishing America in his recent interview to Russian TV, stating that he will comply to the chemical weapons disarmament only if the US stops bullying him–creating sympathy for both himself and his country.
We are in a no win situation. Our national image and pride have been damaged if we do or don’t attack. The only thing that would make us look stupider or totally not in touch with reality is if we continued pursuing the situation with ardent tenacity–and wait…that’s exactly what we are doing!
As the name of the post asks, “Who’s Covering the Tea Party’s March on Washington”? First of all, did anyone know there was a march on Washington DC today. Does anybody know what the march was about? The answer most likely is no. And that is sad. And what is sadder is that I could find absolutely no pictures or articles about the event today. It was like there was a total media blackout on the story- a story that threatens to destroy America. The sarin gas supposedly used by Assad will not do it but Obama will.
If you want the answer, here it is. Taxpayers and Tea Party Patriots flooded the streets around our Nation’s Capitol today with the purpose to pressure the U.S. Congress to De-Fund ObamaCare- scheduled to begin January 1, 2014.
As Obama gives one smokescreen after another, Obamacare slowly gets implemented, taking away our individual freedoms by the day. Syria, Miley Cyrus, Zimmerman, Gun Control and other stories obscure what is really happening now in America. While Obamacare threatens to eat away at the heart of America, we are inundated with another inane speech, filled with overused rhetoric and devoid of any true meaning or substance, tonight by Obama . As we listen to this socialist drone on, reading from his teleprompter, his overall goal to take over America’s entire economy is coming to fruition. And the sad part about it is nothing is stopping him. Not his foreign policy failures, domestic policy debacles, numerous scandals which he remains unaccountable for and disastrous economic policy seem to stop the Obama cancer that has invaded our country.
While we all might feel secure that another war may have been averted, we all forget the war that obama and his cronies currently wage on America and her great Constitution. We must not forget what he is doing to our country nor must we forget the road that he has taken our country down. The road is filled with scandal, bankruptcy, moral decay, lawlessness and economic ruin.
I’m the first one who will criticize the liberal media. However, when credit is due, they should justly receive it. Today is one of those days. Above is the cover of the most recent Newsweek magizine. Traditionally liberal, the cover conveys the sentiments of most of us informed Armericans. Between the scalndals, his vow to enter us into another war, the debt and the lagging economy, there is more than enought reasons to conclude that our president is failing us. The only thing more impressive than the cover of this magazine was the opinion article which it included. I have added it to this post so you all can see that there are true journalists out there:
So the unemployment number last month was 7.3%. It should be good news. Obama is, of course, taking praise for his “achievements” but is it praiseworthy? I’ll let you decide:
The number of Americans who are 16 years or older and who have decided not to participate in the nation’s labor force has pushed past 90,000,000 for the first time, according to data released today by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The BLS counts a person as participating in the labor force if they are 16 years or older and either have a job or have actively sought a job in the last four weeks. A person is not participating in the labor force if they are 16 or older and have not sought a job in the last four weeks. In July, according to BLS, 89,957,000 Americans did not participate in the labor force. In August, that climbed to 90,473,000–a one month increase of 516,000. In January 2009, when President Barack Obama took office, there were 80,507,000 Americans not in the labor force. Thus, the number of Americans not in the labor force has increased by 9,966,000 during Obama’s presidency.
The Labor Department’s snapshot of the job market in August had several discouraging details underneath a relatively mundane headline number, which showed the economy added an estimated 169,000 jobs which a disproportionate number were part time.
Because many of the jobs are only part time or that previous full time jobs were switched to part time, the US food stamp usage has escalated astronomically. Now, over 48 MILLION people require food stamps. That’s over 11 MILLION more in less than 3 YEARS. Just click on the following link, and you can personally see how its has risen in your area:
http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/map_of_the_week/2013/04/food_stamp_recipients_by_county_an_interactive_tool_showing_local_snap_data.html
So you be the judge. Are we really moving in the right direction? Is our economy improving? And not to be a pessimist but just think of the negative impact Obamcare will have on the economic scenario?
