NAME THAT LIBERAL?

I am christening a new segment on this blog called: Name the Liberal. I’m going to start out with a fun one. Can you name who Miss Lube Rack is? Here’s a hint: she loves Vladimir Lenin, hates the Constitution and lost touch with reality a good 40 years ago. Now, NAME THAT LIBERAL:

If you guessed Nancy Pelosi, you are Right. If you guessed Hillary Clinton, you need glasses.

Hot Topic: Abortion

Regardless of what you you’ve heard on abortion, before making up for mind where you stand on the issue, you should understand the facts. Many of us have made up our minds based upon religion, political beliefs or even hearsay. Because this is such a hot topic, I will keep all comments neutral and let you decide where you stand with regard to Texas’s recent ruling. But before making any conclusions, please go to this link: http://www.lifenews.com/2013/05/23/doctor-who-did-1200-abortions-tells-congress-to-ban-them/

Holder Wades Deeper into Zimmerman Battle

The following article was taken from Fox News. However, before reading it, I would like to make a few comments:
1. First of all, we should not belittle the death of Travon Martin because the loss of any human life is tragic. Though Zimmerman was found innocent in court, no one won. His life is forever in shambles, Travon’s parent’s lives will never be the same and our country is again more divided under Obama
2. How convenient for Holder to take a stand on the issue. It seems he is all too eager to divert the attention away from his and his department’s scandals. No Holder, we have not forgotten about Benghazi and your other failures. No matter how much you filibuster the Martin case, you have failed in your position.
3. Also, how insane is it that Holder wants the Florida’s self-defense laws taken off the books. What should a person do if he is attacked? Stand there and do nothing? This is America. We stand our ground and stand up for our rights. Did we stand our ground after Pearl Harbor? No, of course not.

Attorney General Eric Holder waded deeper into the controversy over the George Zimmerman case and verdict on Tuesday, suggesting a national review of “stand-your-ground” laws during a speech before the annual NAACP convention in Orlando.

The NAACP is at the forefront of the effort to pressure the Justice Department to bring federal civil rights charges against Zimmerman. Holder confirmed on Monday that his department is reviewing that possibility, citing his personal concerns about the case.
He went a step further on Tuesday, weighing in for the first time on controversial state-level laws on self-defense.

“Separate and apart from the case that has drawn the nation’s attention, it’s time to question laws that senselessly expand the concept of self-defense and sow dangerous conflict in our neighborhoods,” Holder said.

The comments were a reference to so-called “stand-your-ground” laws, which in Florida and other states allow people to use deadly force if they think their life is being threatened.

The role that law played in the Zimmerman shooting of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin is a matter of dispute.
But Holder suggested the laws encourage confrontation, saying there “has always been” a legal defense for using deadly force when retreat is not an option.

“But we must examine laws that take this further by eliminating the common sense and age-old requirement that people who feel threatened have a duty to retreat, outside their home, if they can do so safely,” Holder said. “By allowing — and perhaps encouraging — violent situations to escalate in public, such laws undermine public safety.”
He called for a “hard look” at the laws. The crowd applauded as he said “we must stand our ground.”

The “stand-your-ground” laws have been a popular target ever since the Martin shooting, and the pressure has intensified after Zimmerman was acquitted on Saturday.

Florida Gov. Rick Scott, though, told Fox News that officials should not politicize the case.

“We shouldn’t turn this into politics. This was a tragedy,” he told Fox News on Monday.
Scott noted that he already put together a bipartisan commission to examine Florida’s “stand-your-ground” law.

“Their recommendation is we not make any changes, that it is working the way it was intended,” Scott said.

A confluence of pressure campaigns, though, are weighing on Congress and the Obama administration.
Despite warnings from analysts and attorneys that the Justice Department would face an uphill climb in prosecuting Zimmerman on civil rights charges, an NAACP-led petition demanding such a case has apparently hit one million signatures.

Singer Stevie Wonder is also the latest celebrity to criticize Florida’s self-defense law.

He declared that he would not perform in Florida until the law is abolished.

Pic of the Day

The irony is that without his teleprompter, Obama is like a deer in headlights. In this time of world crisis and economic uncertainty, we need a president who can do more than just give a good speech. We need someone to tackle the problem head on- not someone who plays golf while the rest of his cabinet are on million dollar yachts. We need someone with real ideas and real plans to implement them. Unfortunately, we’re left with a bunch of hot air and rhetoric. Keep talking Obama; there’ less people listening every day.

Obama: “Speak Loudly and Carry a Small Stick”

Remember former President Theodore Roosevelt’s slogan: “Talk softly but carry a big stick”? Well, I’ve coined a new term for Obama’s foreign policy: “Speak loudly and carry a small stick”. Take away all his rhetoric and all you are left with is a deflated balloon. As Obama’s foreign policy continues disintegrate before our eyes it should not come as a surprise. Remember his initial apology tour and him bowing down to the Saudi King among other world leaders?

The US is no longer taking an active role in foreign policy. Some say that is a good thing but as we look around the globe, the outcomes are irrefutable. Unfortunately, as history repeatedly teaches us, countries don’t play nicely together. It is a simple as that. There needs to be a leader-someone to take control and keep peace. The UN can’t do it nor do I ever foresee that it will. Under President Bush the world watched our actions. Now, we watch in trepidation the world’s actions. The biggest question remains: can the world survive another 3 years of Obama without collapsing?

Zimmerman Riot

Are we in store for a Rodney King style riot after Zimmerman’s verdict is decided? Has the NBC editing of Zimmerman’s calls set the stage for unnecessary rioting, looting and needless killing. Has the media’s insistence on playing the race card throughout their coverage fueled the flames that were lit by NBC’s unscrupulous reporting? Has Facebook and other liberal outlets kept this fresh in America’s minds since the story broke?

When North Korea is vowing nuclear attacks, the IRS is targeting conservative groups. Obama is coving up his blunders in Benghazi, our economy is tanking and our debt rises, why has this story become the backbone of the liberal media’s coverage? The answer is simple. By using buzz words, playing on people’s emotions and chanting race like they were Paul Revere, the media is taking attention away from what is really happening here is America. Our government is crumbling before our eyes. Obama has thrown out the Constitution, bills by the Senate are being passed with so much pork that it raises your cholesterol just by reading it, the economy is tanking and our foreign policy has reverted back to the pitiful days of Jimmy Carter. In the end, the media doesn’t want people to realize the policies of the Democrats are failures, their leaders are crazy and that they are bankrupting the country. They’ve blinded most of America to the truth.

The media is supposed too be unbiased. A free press was set forth by our founding fathers to ensure an additional checks and balance system to the government. That checks and balance is long gone. And our founding fathers were right. Without it America is crumbling before our eyes, leaving our children just a shell of the prosperity we all enjoyed when we were kids.

In the end, the Zimmerman verdict will eventually end in riots-no matter what the verdict. Congratulations liberal media. This is what you created.

Has Government Become Too Big?

Has government become too large? Has regulations and taxes bogged us down so much in America that it makes it difficult to do anything? Has the government infiltrated just about the every part of your life?

Well if you haven’t answered yes to these questions, you probably don’t live in the USA. Unfortunately, the size of government and their regulations has made it difficult to a accomplish anything constructive without getting a headache while doing do. Has anyone ever put an addition on their house or attempted to start a business lately. Well, if you have you know exactly what I’m talking about.

If you haven’t, how about just looking at the cell phone bill. You ever ask what some of those fees are that you never heard of? Yes, they are government taxes that are mandated to every paying customer with a cell phone. Those that aren’t paying get them for free while we pay the price. Why not. Share the wealth. Even the playing field. What’s mine is yours. What’s yours is yours.

Sometimes I simply have to laugh at how ridiculous things have become. So I don’t get everybody down reading this blog I added this humorous short story:

In the year 2013, the Lord came unto Noah, Who was now living in America and said:
“Once again, the earth has become wicked and over-populated, and I see
the end of all flesh before me.”
“Build another Ark and save 2 of every living thing along with a few
good humans.”

He gave Noah the blueprints, saying:
“You have 6 months to build the Ark before I will start the unending rain for 40 days and 40 nights.”

Six months later, the Lord looked down and saw Noah weeping in his yard
– but no Ark. “Noah!,” He roared, “I’m about to start the rain! Where is
the Ark?”
“Forgive me, Lord,” begged Noah, “but things have changed.”
“I needed a Building Permit.”
“I’ve been arguing with the Boat Inspector about the need for a
sprinkler system.”
“My homeowners association claim that I’ve violated the
Neighborhood by-laws by building the Ark in my back yard and exceeding
the height limitations. We had to go to the local Planning Committee
for a decision.”

“Then the City Council and the Electricity Company demanded a shed load
of money for the future costs of moving power lines and other overhead
obstructions, to clear the passage for the Ark’s move to the sea. I
told them that the sea would be coming to us, but they would hear none
of it.”

“Getting the wood was another problem. There’s a ban on cutting local
trees in order to save the Greater Spotted Barn Owl.”
“I tried to convince the environmentalists that I needed the wood to
save the owls – but no go!”
“When I started gathering the animals, PETA took me to court. They
insisted that I was confining wild animals against their will. They
argued the accommodations were too restrictive and it was cruel and
inhumane to put so many animals in a confined space.”

“Then the Environmental Protection Agency ruled that I couldn’t build
the Ark until they’d conducted an environmental impact study on Your
proposed flood.”
“I’m still trying to resolve a complaint with the Human Rights
Commission on how many minorities I’m supposed to hire for my building
crew.”
“The Immigration Dept. Is checking the visa status of most of the
people who want to work.”
“The labor unions say I can’t use my sons. They insist I have to hire
only union workers with ark-building experience.”
“To make matters worse, the IRS seized all my assets, claiming I’m
trying to leave the country illegally with endangered species.”
“So, forgive me, Lord, but it would take at least 10 years for me to
finish this ark.”
“Suddenly the skies cleared, the sun began to shine and a rainbow
stretched across the sky.”
Noah looked up in wonder and asked, “You mean you’re not going to
destroy the world?”
“No,” said the Lord. ” The Government beat me to it.”

Obama supports Morsi

The largest question that lingers after Mohammad Morsi’s ousting from presidency is why did we support him in the first place and continue to support him?

Let’s look at this rationally. Both Hamas and Al-Qaeda are part of the Muslim Brotherhood. Though a more malicious outshoot, they are still working together. To give an analogy it’s like telling someone that it’s OK to join a local gang just as long as they don’t get involved in the mob. Does that make any more sense than our foreign policy in Egypt?

Also, since we in American are the bastion of freedom and civil rights, why did we (Obama) continue to back a leader who is just as cavalier about human rights as Bashar al-Assad from Syria? Fist hand accounts- not that which is reported by CNN, tell of major violations to Egyptian human rights within the first week of Morsi taking power. First of all, the new Constitution put in place in Egypt was based upon Sharia Law- instantly relegating women to second class citizens and taking away basic human rights. Secondly, look at what is happening to the Christians. Does our government not care that Christian are being murdered and churches burnt in Egypt with the full endorsement of the Morsi government?

From more firsthand sources in Egypt, they tell how Morsi opened the gates of prisons and let out his terrorist cronies. Also, they tell of how Morsi recruited members of Hamas and other terrorist organizations in Afghanistan to come to Egypt and create terrorism in the country. As absurd is that sounds, we are currently seeing members of members of these groups fighting against the Egyptian army and massacring innocent Egyptian people.

If that weren’t enough, Morsi had robbed from his people, decimated the economy, sold off his land through bonds, let inflation soar and created mass chaos. Why do you think over 30 million people in a country of just over 80 million took to the streets? Things were bad in Egypt. There were power shortages, food shortages and unemployment.

Knowing all of these atrocities among many others, we must ask ourselves again: why did Obama and his administration back Morsi? It’s like making a deal with the devil. The answer is, Obama’s true motivation for supporting Morsi neither lies with the Egyptian people or their country. As always, it is about him and his corrupt, nearsighted and egocentric policies. God help America.
